Although Italy has initiated lockdown over the country, its effectiveness over the spread of Coronavirus is not ideal.

意大利昨日新增427例死亡，总死亡人数已达3405， 超过中国的数据。中国在三月之前一直是新冠病毒的重症地区，总死亡人数是3245。
The number of deaths rose by 427 yesterday, which put the total number of deaths to 3,405. Italy’s death toll is now more than that of China, which has been the epicentre of the disease until March. The number of reported deaths in China has been 3,245.

There is an all-time high of 47 new cases in Singapore, of which 33 are imported cases, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Wednesday (Mar 18).

卫生部同时称又有3例今日治愈出院。仍未出院的196例病例中，有15例情况危急，不过大部分状态稳定。
The MOH also adds that 3 more cases have recovered and were discharged today. Of the 196 cases who remain in hospital, most are stable while 15 are in critical condition.

马来西亚首相慕尤丁星周一宣布，为了抑制新冠病毒的传播，马来西亚将从本周三（3月18日）开始全面封锁边境，这一措施将持续到3月31日。
Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced on Monday that Malaysia will be in a nationwide lockdown from Wednesday (Mar 18) until March 31 to curb the spread of Covid-19.

According to the Estado de S.Paulo newspaper, Mr. Wajngarten attended an official meeting at US President Donald Trump’s resort in Florida on Saturday and took a photo next to the President.

When being asked about the news, President Trump said he was ‘not concerned’.

The outbreak of Coronavirus in Italy continue to worsen, despite the government’s best effort to lockdown. Currently, the total number of confirmed cases in Italy reaches 12,462 and the total number of deaths is 827. There are 2313 new confirmed cases just in today.

According to Reuter’s report on Mar 11, although patient zero in Italy is not yet confirmed, it is highly probable that he was infected in Germany and the virus is imported into Italy.
