新加坡卫生部星期一（2月3日）晚声明，本地已经连续两日没有新的新型肺炎患者出现，当前患者人数维持在18。
There have been no new cases of Coronavirus for two days, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in an update on Monday evening (Feb 3). The number of total cases is maintained at 18.

与此同时，有524人处于隔离状态，其中222在政府管辖区域隔例，302人在住家。
In the meantime, there are 524 people under quarantine, amongst which 222 are kept at government facilities and 302 remain in their homes.

新加坡政府的新政要求一部分近期从中国返新的人需要在家自行隔离14天。受影响的人涉及了外籍人士和本地人，学生和工作人士。
Singapore government has required that some people who returned from China recently will need to be quarantined for 14 days. The affected personnel includes both foreigners and locals, both students and working adults.

有一些租客却因此面临了被无良房东驱逐的辛酸。
However, some tenants have been evicted by irresponsible landlords.

中国2月2日的最新官方数据表示，中国新型肺炎的感染者已接近12000例，死者人数已达到259。
According to the latest official data from China on Feb 2, the number of infected cases of Coronavirus is closing on 12,000 and the number of deaths has reached 259.

美国、英国、新加坡等多个国家已进一步做出防御措施，包括对病情高发地区的人士禁发旅游签证、减少来往航班等等。
Many countries, including the US, UK, Singapore and etc. have implemented further precautionary measures, which include stopping issuing travel visas to Chinese nationals from provinces that have high health risks and decreasing the number of inbound and outbound flights.

当地时间2月1日，星期六，新加坡卫生部确诊又两例新型肺炎。本地的总确诊病例数已达18例。
Two more cases of Coronavirus infections have been discovered by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Saturday (Feb 1). That puts the total number of infections in Singapore to 18.

第17例患者是在武汉旅行的新加坡本地女性。她于本周五被接回新加坡后在樟宜机场检测出高体温，并随后被送往国家传染病中心接受检查。
The 17th case was a Singaporean female travelling in Wuhan. She was brought back to Singapore and was found to have a high body temperature at Changi Airport. She was then taken to the National Centre for Infectious Disease (NCID).

本地又发现一起疑似武汉肺炎的病例。一名26岁中国籍男子今日曾前往中国武汉市，但是他并未靠近疑似病毒发源地的武汉海鲜市场。
There has been another case detected in suspicion to the Wuhan pneumonia, which concerns a 26-year-old Chinese male who has had a travel history to Wuhan, though he did not go to the seafood market where the bug is thought to have emerged.

新加坡卫生部声明，该病人已入院进行检测和治疗并被隔离，以防万一。他的状况很稳定。
A statement from the Ministry of Health said that the patient ‘has been admitted for further assessment and treatment, and isolated as a precautionary measure. His condition is stable.’

The conflict between the US and Iran has heightened in light of the recent event in which Iranian Major Generall Qassim Suleiman was killed along with other military officials in an airstrike by the US. US President Donald Trump has tweeted that if Iran retaliates, the US will attack 52 targets in Iran rapidly, which include some locations which are very important to Iranian people and culture.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore said that the 3-year-old girl from China, who was warded on Jan 4, did not get the Wuhan pneumonia which everybody has been talking about, but rather a case of respiratory syncytial virus.

虽然现在新加坡没有可疑病例，卫生部仍在积极检测，全面预防。
Although there are no suspicious cases in Singapore now, the MOH is still actively carrying out testing as a full precaution.

自从中国武汉出现多起严重肺炎案例，新加坡也着手一系列防御措施，其中包括对从该城市抵达新加坡的旅客在机场进行体温检测。
Singapore has acted on a series of precautionary measures since multiple cases of severe pneumonia were reported in Wuhan, China. The measures include temperature taking at the airport for passengers arriving from Wuhan.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore said today (Jan 4) that a 3-year-old girl from China had shown symptoms of pneumonia and had traveled to Wuhan recently.

The transition period of the e-scooter ban announced by the Singapore government officially ended yesterday (Dec 31). As of Jan 1, 2020, e-scooters are not allowed to be used on pedestrian walks. There have already been riders arrested today.
