淡马锡基金会6月24日宣布，7月5日至8月5日之间，每一户新加坡家庭都将可领取一个免费的脉搏血氧仪。
Every household in Singapore will be eligible to collect a free oximeter from 5 July to 5 August, Temasek Foundation announced on 24 June.
感染新冠病毒的其中一个反应就是病人的血氧值将会下降，不过，淡马锡基金会强调这个仪器不可以用作新冠病毒检测，因为血氧值下降有其他健康原因，并且手发抖、指甲油等因素可造成血氧值测试结果不准。
One of the indicator of Covid-19 infection will be a drop of blood oxygen level. However, Temasek Foundation strengthened that this device cannot replace a Covid-19 test. Some other health issues might contribute to the drop of blood oxygen level, while trembling hands, wearing nail polish and etc. might result in an inaccurate reading.
一个人的血氧值正常应为95％但100％之间。如下降到94％以下，可能需要吸氧，应咨询医生。而如下降到90％以下，他就是状态危险，应该马上就医。
A healthy blood oxygen reading should be Between 95% to 100%. If it drops below 94%, the patient might need to supplement oxygen and should consult a doctor. If it drops below 90%, the person will be deemed in an dangerous state and should seek medical treatment immediately.
