近日，一段由美国当地组织“Empty the tank”上传到社交网站上的视频正在疯传。在这段27秒的视频中，一只宽吻海豚连续9次用头撞上了池壁。
Recently, a video shared by US-based organisation Empty the Tank has gone viral. In the 27-second footage, an Indo-pacific bottlenose dolphin can be seen banging its head at the tank wall nine times.
据该组织称，这段视频是去年由一名普通游客在新加坡S.E.A.海洋馆参观时拍摄并发送给自己的。
According to the organisation, this video was shot and sent from a common visitor during his/her visit at S.E.A. Aquarium last year.
新加坡S.E.A.海洋馆对此发出声明，其中称“在海豚岛，我们会让海豚在不同时间独自或结伴游泳，以便它们在相连接并可做出调整的泻湖里探索以及交流”。
Singapore’s S.E.A Aquarium has responded to this video. In the statement, it said, ‘At Dolphin Island, we allow our dolphins to swim on their own or in groups at different timings where they can explore and interact with one another in our large interconnecting lagoons which can be differently reconfigured to encourage play and socialisation.’
同时也有很多科学家以及不同组织声称这只海豚的行为是由于身处狭小空间以及无聊造成的。作为一种畅游大海的生物，海豚不应该被困于一个小小的海洋馆。
At the same time, many scientists and different organisations have shared their view on this matter, that the dolphin’s action is a direct result of boredom from being kept in a small space. As a creature of the sea, dolphins should not be captivated in a small aquarium.
