据香港警方声明，6月9日，有15万4000香港人从维多利亚公园出发，参加游行。
According to the Hong Kong police, on 9th June, approximately 154 thousand people participated in a march. The march began at the Victorian Park.
这个游行的目的是反对香港政府修改《逃犯条例》。
The purpose of this march is to protest possible amendments to Hong Kong’s extradition bill.
修改该条例最初是由台湾提出的。一个在台湾犯下谋杀案的嫌疑人逃到了香港，台湾希望可以引渡该嫌疑人受审，然而香港和台湾之间缺少相关的引渡条例。
The amendments were first being brought up by Taiwan. A murder suspect fled to Hong Kong in February last year. Taiwanese officials hope to extradite the suspect for trial, however, there is a lack of extradition treaties between Hong Kong and Taiwan.
很多游行人士担心《逃犯条例》一旦修改，香港的政治自主权会受到中国大陆的影响。
Many protestors worry that the amendments will possibly comprise Hong Kong’s independent judicial system from Mainland China.
