Today (7th June), a Russian destroyer warship and a US cruiser warship almost collided in the East China Sea. The two warships came as close as only 50 m at one point!
虽然在国际上安全距离并没有非常明确的规定，但是在不互相妨碍的前提下，该距离大约为5到10海里之间（1852到3704米之间）。如果有军事演练，距离则要更远一些。
Although there is not an official safe distance between warships, under the premise not interfering each other, the two warships should maintain a distance of about 5 to 10 nautical miles (about 1852 to 3704 meters). If there is a naval exercise ongoing, the distance should be even further.
如根据《国际海上避碰规则》，如果不同国家的两舰不慎离得近了，应该采取无线电、号笛、灯光等方式表明友好并即使规避。
According to International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS), if warships from different countries accidentally come close, they should use radio, horn, signal lights and etc. to show intention and avoid collisions.
目前这次事件的具体原因并不明确，但是俄美两国都发表了声明。俄方指责美国军舰“突然改变行进方向，在前方50米处强行插入我方舰艇航线”；而美方则反驳说是俄方先对美方舰队进行“不安全的举动”。
At this moment, the reason behind this incident is not clear yet, but both countries have made statements. Russia’s Pacific Fleet said that ‘the cruiser crossed just 50 m in front of it destroyer’ and it was forced to perform ‘emergency maneuvering’ to avoid the US ship. But the US claimed that the Russian destroyer ‘made an unsafe maneuver against USS Chancellorsville’ first.
纵观历史，曾有军舰相撞造成了多名船员殒命。这次事件没有造成更大的意外真的是不幸中的万幸，希望各国舰艇航行一定要注意安全啊！
