2018年的二十国峰会（简称G20）已经缓缓拉开了帷幕（wéimù. Curtain）。今年的峰会在阿根廷首都布宜诺斯艾利斯举办。
The curtain has raised as 2018 G20 summit commences. This year’s summit is held in Buenos Aires, Argentine.
自从2016年，阿根廷现任总统马克里上台之后，他大刀阔斧（dàdāokuòfǔ. Big knife and broad axe, used to describe do something with determination）地展开了一系列外交行动，为这次峰会奠定（diàndìng. Establish, settle）了良好的经济和政治基础。
Since current Argentine president Macri takes office in 2016, he exercised a series of a diplomatic approach, which set a good economic and political foundation for the summit.
这届峰会得到了全球的热切关注，为什么呢？
Why does this summit gain worldwide attention?
还不是因为2018真是一个能折腾（néngzhēteng. Turn from side to side, sth. happen over and over again）的年份啊。
Because so many have gone on in 2018.
自中美贸易战开战以来，两国经济关系持续处于紧张状态。美国总统特朗普威胁如果中国再不改变经济战略，便要对从中国进口的货物再额外加上2670亿美元的税；而中国一直以来都寸步不让。如果贸易战加剧，世界各国的经济都有可能收到影响。我们也是期待中美能在G20峰会上能达到一定的共识。
Since the beginning of the China-US trade war, there has been ongoing economic tension between the two countries. US president Trump threatened to increase another $267 billion tax on China imports if China does not alter its economic strategy, while China holds its ground. If the trade war escalates, it may potentially affect the economic situation all over the world. We look forward to a common understanding at G20.
英国脱欧的的初步协议虽然得到了欧盟的认可，却在英国议会碰上到了铁板（pèngshàngle tiěbǎn. Encountered iron plate, stonewalled）。在峰会上，英国首相特丽莎梅也会通过积极会谈，让其他国家相信英国脱欧是对各个国家都有利的。
Although Brexit was approved at the EU summit, it has been stonewalled at parliament. During the G20 summit, UK prime minister Theresa May will engage in positive discussions to ascertain other countries’ confidence in Brexit.
在两天之前，3艘乌克兰舰艇以及24位随船船员在黑海被俄罗斯扣押。多国领导人都对俄这一行为表示谴责（qiǎnzé. Blame, criticize），督促（dūcù. Urge, supervise）俄罗斯尽快改正并弥补这一行为。
Two days ago, 3 Ukrainian vessel and 24 sailors were seized by Russia in the Black Sea. Leaders from other countries blamed this action and urged Russia to fix this action as soon as possible.
沙特阿拉伯记者卡舒吉于10月2日在伊斯坦布尔的沙特大使馆离奇失踪。加拿大已惩戒了17名犯罪嫌疑人，国际社会也需要一个透明可信的调查结果。
Saudi Arabia reporter Mr Khashoggi mysteriously disappeared from Saudi’s consulate in Istanbul on 2 October. Canada has punished 17 suspects linked to the disappearance. The international society also needs a transparent and credible investigation result.
以上种种问题，都会在G20取得进一步解决吗？让我们拭目以待（shìmùyǐdài. Wipe eyes and wait）。
