The district council election in Hong Kong yesterday (Nov 24) which happens once every four years saw a historical turnout of 71%.
今日选举结果出炉，据当地媒体报道，在18个区的452位议员中，非建制派获得了393个席位，占领17个选区，而建制派只获得59席。
The election result is released today. According to local media, out of 254 council members in 18 district councils, the Opposition Camp won 393 seats and will gain control of 17 district councils, whereas the Pro-establishment Camp only won 59 seats.
香港特首林郑月娥在中午发表声明，称“港府尊重选举结果，并一定会虚心聆听市民的意见，认真反思。”
In a statement published by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam at noon, she stated that the government respected the result and would listen to the opinions of members of the public humbly and seriously reflect.
