现年39岁的新加坡人杨忠伟（Dickson Yeo）在美国因“承认为中国收集情报”而被逮捕并因[间谍罪(jiàndiézuì – n. espionage)]被[指控(zhǐkòng – v. to be charged)]。
据悉，他在新加坡国立大学工作时被中国情报部门[招募(zhāomù – v. to be recruited)]，并在美工作时与中国特工多次会面。
当地时间本周五（10月9日）他被判处14个月监禁。
“Yeo, 39, has been in a Washington DC jail since he was arrested last November, and his 11 months in jail will be credited towards his sentence, said Judge Tanya Chutkan. It Is unclear when he will be deported from the US.”(Straits Times)
现年39岁的杨忠伟自去年11月被捕后就一直处于华盛顿特区的监狱里。据法官Tanya Chutkan称，这11个月将算在他的刑罚中。尚不确定他将何时被遣返回新加坡。
“At his sentencing hearing, Yeo said he took full responsibility for his actions and apologised for causing harm to America, but added that he was still “sympathetic to the Chinese cause.”(Straits Times)
在庭审过程中，杨称他为自己的行为负全责并为损害美国利益致歉，但他还称自己仍“对中国的目标感同身受”。
