A total of 300,000 surgical masks have been given out to taxi and private-hire car drivers, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Monday (Feb 10), to let drivers offer masks to passengers who have symptoms of illness but are not wearing masks.
本周二(2月11日),全国私人出租车司机及德士师傅协会顾问洪鼎基前往SMRT, GRAB等出租车及私召车公司视察,并告知了司机们在这一特殊时期,如果司机为(生病的)乘客提供口罩而对方拒绝戴上,拒载是合情合理的事。
Mr Ang Hin Kee, adviser to the National Taxi Association (NTA) and the National Private Hire Vehicle Association (NPHVA), supervised at taxi and private-hire car companies SMRT, GRAB and etc. on Tuesday (Feb 11) and informed the drivers that under this special circumstance, if sick passengers refuse to wear masks offered by the drivers, it is reasonable to decline their boarding.
