与先前的缺席假不同，居家通告要求受影响人士在家隔离的14天中不可以外出，甚至不可以出门用餐以及日常采购。
Unlike the current leave of absence (LOA), the Stay-Home Notice requires these people to remain at home at all times for 14 days without any exceptions, including going out for meals and grocery shopping.
不过，接到居家通告的人可以向不同机构（人民协会、学生就读学校、教育部、雇主或人力部）求助解决日常之需。
However, people affected by Stay-Home Notice can seek assistance from different organisations including community centres, schools, Ministry of Education (MOE), employers or the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
