要说美国内近来发生的头等大事，一定是美国黑人George Floyd因警方的暴力执法而死亡、并进而引发美国国内甚至是在世界多个国家的大规模游行了。这件事情引发的关注度目前已不亚于甚至超过人们对新冠病毒疫情的关注。
从George Floyd的死亡引发了人们对平权的呼吁和思考，这本应该是一件具有积极作用的事情，但随着时间的流逝，游行抗议中已掺入了不法分子，在一些地区，和平的游行也变成了打砸抢掠。在美国，人们对于应不应该武力镇压游行也出现了两极分化的观念。
涉事的4个警察终于被起诉，这对于一部分游行者来说应该已经足够，但已经些许变味的游行会停吗？黑人权利会有实质性的改变吗？不法的抗议行为怎样可以停止？也许谁都不能断言。
“Minnesota prosecutors had announced a third degree murder indictment on Friday against 44-year-old Derek Chauvin – the white officer filmed kneeling on the neck of George Floyd for nearly nine minutes while he pleads: ”I can’t breathe.””
明尼苏达检方星期五宣布会以三级谋杀罪名起诉德里克·邵文（音译）。他用膝盖压迫乔治·弗洛伊德的脖子长达九分钟，尽管受害者恳求说：“我不能呼吸了。”
“But they said they were increasing the charge, roughly akin to manslaughter, to second-degree murder, which does not involve premeditation but carries stiffer penalties.”
但检方称这指控罪名，目前和过失杀人相近，将会被追加至无预谋、惩罚更严苛的二级谋杀罪
“The added charge, defined under Minnesota law as unintentionally causing another person’s death in the commission of a felony offense, can carry a sentence of up to 40 years, 15 years longer than the maximum sentence for third-degree murder.”
追加的罪名在明尼苏达州法里被定义为“在实施重罪的过程中无意识导致其他人的死亡”，它的判决将会包括高达50年的监禁，比三级谋杀罪名的最高判决更长15年。
