自从9日香港民众自发游行示威反对政府签订《逃犯条例》以来,情形持续升级,警民冲突一度恶化。
Since the start of the organized protest against the extradition bill on 9th June, the situation continues to escalate and the clashes between protesters and police increased and became more serious.
在冲突最高点时,一些示威者冲进政府大楼,并用障碍物堵住政府大楼附近的大楼;为了驱散示威者,警方在某一时间用了催泪弹、橡胶子弹等。
At one point of the clashes, some protesters managed to barge in the government building. They blocked the road around the government building with obstacles. In order to disperse the protestors, the police exercised measures such as tear gas and rubber bullets at one point.
据香港医管局表示,截止到晚上10时,有72人受伤,年龄介于15岁至66岁。其中有两人伤势严重。
According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, until 10 pm, there were 72 people between the age of 15 to 66 were injured, among which 2 were in critical condition.
香港行政长官林郑月娥表明:政府不会撤回修例。她三度把这场游行示威称为“暴动”,并呼吁民众理智应对,不要涉及无辜。
Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Carrie Lam stated that the government would not withdraw the bill. She called this protest ‘organized riots’ on three occasions and asked the protestors to listen to logic and do not harm the innocent bystanders.
据明报报道,“一部分香港特首选委联名要求林郑月娥下台,停止警方暴力及撤回逃犯条例”。在示威人士里也有要求林郑引咎辞职的声音。
According to Mingpao Newspaper, some members of the Election Committee has demanded that Ms. Lam steps down, stops police violence and withdraw the Extradition Bill. Many among the protestors have also required her to resign and assume responsibility for this chaos.
