在中国国家主席习近平的3日访俄日程中，华为与俄罗斯电信企业MTS签署了一项合同：华为将于明年在俄罗斯开发5G网络。
During China’s President Xi Jinping’s three-day visit to Russia, Chinese telecom Huawei signed a deal with Russian telecom MTS, in which the companies agreed that Huawei will develop 5G networks in Russia over the next year.
据法新社的报道，MTS声明该项协议将会“涵盖5G网络的开发以及第五代网络在2019年至2020年间的十点运行”。
According to AFP, MTS has said in a statement that the deal will include ‘the development of 5G technologies and the pilot launch of the fifth generation networks in 2019 and 2020.’
近日，因为对于其安全性的质疑，华为连续遭受在以美国为首的部分国家碰壁。尽管华为连续否认关于间谍活动的指控，但是与其他国家的5G合作一直止步不前。希望俄罗斯的这一举动可以为华为在国际上建立更过的信心。
Recently, due to the concerns raised over Huawei’s security level, the company has been hitting walls in some countries, amongst which the US is the most serious. Although Huawei has been repeatedly denying allegations about spying activities, 5G co-operations with other countries has been standing still. Let’s hope this newest deal with Russia will shed some light over Huawei’s overseas expansion by restoring faith in its security and technology.
