This morning, US President Trump released a series of tweets on Tweeter.
首先他表达了对贸易战的看法，称：近日与中方的通话进展顺利，他们目前需用货币贬值以及注入资金来抵消关税带来的影响。无论九月的会晤进行与否对美国消费者都不会有影响，但是会晤推迟到十二月对中国会大有益处，而中国也会报答这一行为。
First, he shared his views on the trade war, saying that, ‘Good things were stated on the call with China the other day. They are eating the Tariffs with the devaluation of their currency and ‘pouring’ money into their system. The American consumer is fine with or without the September date, but much good will come from the short deferral to December. It actually helps China more than us, but will be reciprocated.
他进一步肯定，现在中国的工作大量流失，转入无税国家，上千公司正在离开，中方会迫切想要达成协议。
He made further assurances that currently, ‘millions of jobs are being lost in China to other non-tariffed countries. Thousands of companies are leaving. Of course China wants to make a deal.’
然后，特朗普总统竟然把贸易战与香港抗议活动挂上了钩，“让中国先和平人性地与中国处理问题”、“我毫不怀疑习主席想要尽快和平处理香港问题，他可以做到”，并在结尾问“私下会晤”？
Then, surprisingly, President Trump made the trade deal about the on-going protest in Hong Kong. ‘Let them work humanely with Hong Kong first’, ‘I have ZERO doubt that if President Xi wants to quickly and humanely solve the Hong Kong problem, he can do it.’ In the end, he even asked President Xi of China for a ‘personal meeting’.

It is very difficult to understand why he makes these two completely unrelated things together. Moreover, Tweeter cannot be used in Mainland China, so what is the point of this appointment at the end?
