Just three days after the Olympic flame for Tokyo2020 reached Japan on Friday(Mar 20) for the 121-day Olympic Torch Relay journey, there is a new possibility the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games might be postponed.

On Sunday (Mar 22), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said that they will step its scenario planning for the Tokyo 2020 Games, including the scenario of postponement since “there is a dramatic increase in cases and new outbreaks of COVID-19 in different countries on different continents”.
奥委会也强调了“取消不在议程上”。
The IOC also emphasized that “cancellation is not on the agenda”.
日本首相安倍晋三本周一（3月23日）对国会说如果奥运会不可以以“完整形式”举行，延期举行奥运会就会是一个选项。
Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo also told parliament on Monday (Mar 23) postponing the Olympics may become an option if holding the Games in its “compete form” became impossible.

In the meantime, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) said that they “made the difficult decision to not send Canadian teams to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer of 2020” and calling on the IOC to postpone the Games for a year.
